This dataset details the total number of individuals in custody, restrictive confinement and segregation by type of alert on file.

Some individuals may have both placements in restrictive confinement and segregation conditions, within the reporting period. Therefore, these numbers should not be added together when calculating proportions out of the total.

Information on immigration hold flags are not included for individuals in restrictive confinement.
