Benchmark Production Unit for Ontario commodities

This dataset includes data the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs uses to analyze industry trends such as production units (income and expense) for major commodities. This data is used to deliver Ontario's AgriStability program.

Benchmark Production Units are calculated from commodity specific samples. They represent normal revenues and costs involved in the production of a specific commodity based on normal or typical farm practices.

AgriStability program assists farms in cases of large margin declines caused by circumstances such as low prices and rising input costs.
