The Ministry of Community and Social Services collects this data to evaluate the effectiveness of the independent facilitation demonstration project (IFDP). It measures progress over time on personal outcomes for a comparison group of people with a developmental disability who are not participating in the IFDP.

The independent facilitation demonstration project uses a person-directed planning and facilitation process to help people with developmental disabilities and their families plan for the future, major life transitions and connect with broader community supports.
