Land Use Planning Areas are defined to help protect cultural value, maintain biological diversity, ecological processes and ecological functions while managing our natural resources. The Land Use Planning Areas data class provides the spatial extents of approved or established significant geographic areas throughout Ontario. Examples include the Far North Plan Area, Ontario's Living Legacy (OLL) Land Use Strategy, Temagami Land Use Plan Area, Madawaska Highlands Area.
