Supervised Alternative Learning for Excused Pupils (SALEP) is for students ages 14 to 17 who are at risk of leaving school early. The name SALEP has been changed to SAL (Supervised Alternative Learning). SAL activities may include developing general employment skills, earning workplace certifications, or other non-credit courses. Component type examples include day school course, Continuing Education credit course, independent study credit course, part-time employment, etc. Includes data for individual students.
