This data is not and will not be made available. The data was reviewed and cannot be released to the public because of reasons outlined by the Digital and Data Directive.

Restriction: Legal and contractual obligations - Intellectual property in the data is retained by National Initiative for the Care of the Elderly.  Ontario has a limited license to use and share the data with those acting on the Province’s behalf.   

This data set is comprised of answers to survey questions from 2,113 phone interviews with Ontario residents 55 years of age and older to determine the prevalence of mistreatment including socio-economic, demographic and health information on respondents, type and frequency of mistreatment experienced, source of mistreatment, possible risk and protective factors for mistreatment, mistreatment experienced across lifetime, and preferred sources for seeking help.
