Violence Against Women Occupancy contains variables on the occupancy of all shelters in the North Region including:

  • number of beds
  • available days of residential care
  • actual days of residential care per quarter

It calculates the occupancy rate for each shelter for each quarter of the fiscal year. The Ministry of Community and Social Services uses the data for program planning, both regionally and with local partners working to improve responses to victims of domestic violence within specific communities.
