IRCS Order is a sentencing option that provides court approved treatment and rehabilitation plans for youth found guilty of a serious violent offence and diagnosed with a mental illness or disorder. Youth must consent to participate and be considered appropriate for the program. IRCS Exceptional Cases are a post sentencing option for youth who are already serving a sentence, other than an IRCS sentence for specified violent offences and diagnosed with a mental illness or disorder. Youth must consent to participate and be considered appropriate for the program.
