This dataset contains data the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs collects as part of its inspection program including chemical and microbiological testing on meat samples done by the meat inspection program.

Information is gathered through sampling at abattoirs and free-standing meat plants. Reported results are used in various analysis for statistical reporting and planning. Meat Inspection Program data collection includes:

  • Chemical testing in animals
  • Trichinella testing in animals
  • Microbiological testing of water and ice
  • Microbiological/chemical testing of ready-to-eat meats
  • Microbiological testing of the meat plant environment

The data includes but is not limited to sampling plans, test results and follow-up activities to adverse results.
