This dataset contains data the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs collects as part of its inspection program of provincially licensed meat plants.

Food safety and animal welfare deficiencies are based on the requirements of O. Reg. 31/05, which covers all facets of meat slaughter and processing in Ontario. This dataset includes routine inspection information including identified food safety and animal welfare deficiencies observed during inspections. It also details compliance actions of provincially licensed meat plants.
