Plant disease (Sour rot) management in grapes

Data under review

This data is not available right now. We are reviewing the data to determine if it can be made open to the public.

This dataset contains data from trials to investigate the effectiveness of chemical and cultural practices applied to commercial vineyards to control sour rot disease.

Treatments to loosen clusters include bloom applications of gibberellic acid and prohexidione Ca as well as prebloom leaf removal. Treatments to make skins more resistant to splitting include Calcium, soluble silicate and kelp sprays. Various antimicrobial treatments will be evaluated once fruit reach 15 Brix. Incidence and severity of sour rot and volatile acidity will be determined at commercial harvest.
