Get data the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs tracks of greenhouse operations using biomass (alternative energy) as a source for heat.

Biomass combustion simply means burning organic material. For millennia, humans have used this basic technology to create heat and, later, to generate power through steam. The higher cost of heating a greenhouse using natural gas or oil has resulted in many growers switching to alternate fuels.
